1:43 Scale. Chaz Mostert, #25 Ford Mustang GT, Mobil 1 Optus Racing 2024 NTI Townsville 500 Indigenous Livery
The 2024 Darwin Triple Crown at Hidden Valley marked the official Indigenous round of the Supercars Championship for the third consecutive year. Once again, race fans were treated to an incredible display of Indigenous artwork, expertly woven into race liveries in recognition of First Nations people.
In a trend that has grown in recent years, many teams continued running their Darwin liveries at the following Townsville 500 round due to the long distances from their home race shops. One of the standout Indigenous liveries featured at both rounds adorned the #25 Mobil 1 Optus Racing Ford Mustang GT, driven by superstar Chaz Mostert.
Designed by artist Ava Muir, the striking livery—titled Artangentyele Akethe Durt, meaning Together in the Open Stars—blended traditional artwork techniques with modern race livery design. The predominantly blue and black Mustang was a particularly eye-catching example of this fusion.
Mostert’s results in Darwin saw him finish 5th and 16th, but he bounced back in Townsville, delivering podium finishes in both races with a 2nd and 3rd place.
